“There is no Utopia…..” – Amidst Spotify High, Kanye West Gets a Special Stamp From Travis Scott
Curtains had been drawn on Kanye West and his career owing to the array of controversies the rapper found himself in last year. This was followed by months of no activity by the rapper and everyone assumed that was the end of the rapper’s brilliant career. And to reply to that, Kanye West climbed up on one of the biggest stages alongside Travis Scott to say “Excuse me? Was you saying something?” as the crowd bellowed the lyrics of ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’ along with him.
Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia’ album seemed to be a lost limb of Ye’s ‘Donda’. And although he was accused of riding the coattails of his mentor’s success, Scott won each heart at Rome’s Circus Maximus when he invited the greatest of all time, Kanye West, to perform with him.

“There is no UTOPIA without Kanye West, there is no Travis Scott without Kanye West, there is no Rome without Kanye West,” Scott said in a touching introduction to the ‘Donda’ rapper. And we would like to add, “There is no ‘YEEZUS’ album with a billion streams,” because the album has just crossed the 2 billion mark on Spotify.
Attaining two billion streams on Spotify, although a huge record, was a given for the ‘Yeezus’ album as it entails some of its biggest hits. What was far from precedented, however, was Ye’s surprise appearance at the Travis Scott concert.
The past few months have found the rapper walking barefoot in Italy and eating in Tokyo. Basically, everything but making music. But fans knew he would make a colossal comeback.
Fans react to Kanye West joining Travis Scott’s Utopia performance amidst 2 billion streams
Travis Scott started his performance with the first three songs of ‘Utopia’. While he was tightlipped about Kanye West’s surprise appearance, he was wearing the gigantic shoulder pads Ye has been sporting on a regular basis for the past months, which served as a major hint. But it was not until fans saw the ‘Donda’ rapper on stage that it sunk in: that was Utopia.
As the Yeezus rapper performed in front of a roaring crowd, it was clear that was where he truly belonged. And just a testament to how phenomenal his stage presence was were the hoards of fans who rushed to pay $15 in order to watch the performance online. After all, it is not every day that you see the presumed retired Beethoven and Mozart of the rap industry rap and roar.
