After the news of Swift and her rumored love interest surfaced, the internet saw a division of two groups. On one hand, the loyal Swifties were all smiles about their idol moving on from her six-year-long relationship with Joe Alwyn. On the other hand, there was a section of fans who found the pairing quite odd, including Portnoy. The American businessman recently appeared on a YouTube show by FLAGRANT and shared his choice of seeing the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer with the Mysterio, Jake Gyllenhaal. 

The social media personality said that “that’s the relationship” he would like to root for. The entire first half of the conversation included Portnoy’s opinion about the rumored couple. However, calling them mere “opinions” would be an understatement, as the 46-year-old left no room for misunderstanding his disapproval of seeing the NFL star with Swift. The chit-chat among the group then went on to point out the brief romance between Gyllenhaal and Swift over a decade ago. While fans may not have been lucky enough to see the attractive pair together for too long, they still remember it ‘All Too Well’. 

Even though the relationship between Swift and Gyllenhaal had an unfortunate ending, its creative outcome went on to win the VMAs!

One of the trademarks that the 33-year-old singer carried throughout her career was using her failed relationships as a creative fuel to write soulful songs. Swift released ‘All Too Well’ in the year 2012, after parting ways with the Oscar-nominated actor, Gyllenhaal. The song remained a favorite for a decade until Swift gave her fans another reason to marvel at her exceptional talent. The ‘1989’ singer came up with a 10-minute extended version of the 2012 song, featuring the Stranger Things star, Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien.

The song went on to get Swift three awards in the 2022 VMAs, including Video of the Year and Best Direction. After owning the VMAs, the song further got a Grammy nomination. Swift celebrated the success of being a nominee at the Grammys’ by sharing a picture of Sink and O’Brien with a long caption on it. While there has not been any confirmation from the newly rumored couple, fans can start to gear up for another creative masterpiece of Swift’s relationship experience.
