When asked about his relationship with Taylor Swift and how this real-life rom-com came together, the NFL champ credited the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer’s affection towards his family and the fact that she “understands situations” as huge factors. Kelce stated that while he values some privacy about their relationship, he is not going to hide it entirely. “That’s my girl. That’s my lady,” said the proud boyfriend. 

The reason he likes to keep the details of his relationship private is to avoid unsolicited public input into their personal life. However, there is no way the 34-year-old would go to unnecessary lengths to keep his relationship “under wraps.” The star also opened up about the first NFL match that Taylor Swift attended, which created a huge stir across the web.

Apparently, it was one gesture of Taylor Swift at the Bears game in September 2023 that completely won over Travis Kelce. 

The moment fans saw Taylor Swift cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end at Arrowhead Stadium last September, they got a hint that a movie-like love story was about to unfold in front of them. However, Travis Kelce was initially on the fence about such public displays of affection and suggested a more low-key approach for the songstress to watch the NFL game. Contrary to his hopes, Taylor Swift boldly walked right through the front door. 

Kelce explained that all Swift wanted was to enjoy the match with his family. “She really won me over with that one,” said Kelce of the gesture. From that point onwards, every NFL appearance by the pop star has been heartwarming, to say the least, and their love story unfolding literally on the football field could make any Hollywood scriptwriter green with envy.
