"That is not shameful," Gomez stated about seeking help or even talking about personal struggles. She also shared that her honesty stems from a desire to "advocate for women"- because those battles are what truly shape her. "So ***ew anyone who tells you you're a victim," Gomez added. "You're a survivor in my book".

The Apple TV film dived into her bipolar diagnosis and the immense pressure of living in the public eye. But rather than retreating, Gomez decided to lean into it, despite the trolls who criticize everything from her body to her relationship.
Addressing the 'victim' label that some have tried to place on her, Gomez said that it "frustrates" her, because she sees vulnerability as one of the greatest forms of strength. “I'm no victim. I just survived a lot,” said the 32-year-old. Despite the criticism and trolling, Selena Gomez’s willingness to be open about her mental and physical health has only made her more relatable to fans.
