Everyone knows that Taylor Swift has been dominating the spotlight with her blossoming romance. While Taylor Swift just wrapped up the first leg of her tour, she already has plans for a world tour. It is said to consist of 84 concerts all over the world. According to reports from The Messenger, her recently completed ‘Eras’ concerts had exceeded $10 billion in ticket sales, merch, and more. However, economist Ed Tityakian told the publication that there was a huge possibility that her next tour could bring in “$55 billion to $80 billion” in total economic impact.

He went on to say that the total would be calculated based on the money spent on “tickets to hotels and MPC.” While the total may be miles apart from the one US Travel Association predicted, it could go either way. But given the star’s fanbase, it is extremely likely that she will end up crossing the predicted economic impact her concerts are supposed to have.
If the 33-year-old pop star does manage to reach $80 billion, she could overtake some of the biggest film franchises in the world.

With the predictions for Taylor Swift’s upcoming world tour, it looks like she could be going down in history as the only singer to have overtaken the box office’s biggest hits. From Marvel films to the Harry Potter and Star Wars franchises, the highest-grossing film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens earned a little over $2 billion at the box office, which is nowhere close to Swift’s predicted $80 billion.

While the Swifties may have to wait and see how this one plays out, at least they have the star’s new romance to keep them distracted for the time being. From going to games to support the NFL star, to taking her friends and making it a night out, Taylor Swift is giving her fans everything they have wanted for a while now.
