In a recent interview with Vogue via Zoom, Taylor Swift’s trainer, Kirk Myers, who has been training the singer for almost a decade, discussed her incredible work ethic. Myers confessed that Swift has been tailored akin to a “professional athlete” for her Eras Tour, who has both an “off-season” when she is not touring and an “in-season” for when she is. According to the Dogpound Gym founder, the off-season training is the most intense where the pair refurbishes her strength and core “in the gym up to six days a week for sometimes two hours a day”.
On the other hand, during the in-season, they both reportedly shift the focus to “maintenance”, “stability, mobility, and biomechanics”. Hence, even amidst the entire Eras Tour, the pair would do workouts at an average of “two times a week”. Myers acknowledged the requirement of a chiropractor on days when she has off by further emphasizing the intense physicality required to carry on her performances. Her trainer exclaimed, “Imagine doing that three, four days in a row and then you finally have a few off days and you’re still showing up to the gym. That’s Taylor”.
As Kirk Myers continued, he also disclosed how the two came across each other and whether he was a Swiftie.

In the same interview, Kirk Myers shared the casual nature of how he came to know Taylor Swift, describing it as "not really that exciting of a story". Although he mentioned their introduction was through mutual friends, he could not divulge the specific individual. However, he did not miss the chance to express his pre-existing admiration for her before their encounter, while seizing the opportunity to list his favorite tracks by the Grammy-winning artist.
Among his top picks were 'Shake It Off' and '22', songs that caused literal seismic ripples. He also included ‘If I Were a Man’ on his list of favorites. Myers admitted that he has not deliberately played Swift's music during their training sessions, but enjoys it when it occasionally pops up on the playlist, confirming he is a Swiftie. Despite the music choices during workouts, it is evident that Myers has ‘Tay-lored’ his training regimen to Swift's needs.
