Recalling the moment after attending Swift’s concert with his daughter, where she declared she wanted to be like the pop star, Zuckerberg put on his dad's hat and told her, “you can’t.” Sure, it gave his daughter a moment to ponder, but eventually, she decided, “when I grow up, I want people to want to be like August Chan Zuckerberg.”

While that sure sounds like a Swift-sized dream with a personal twist, even the Meta Big Cheese has long been a fan of Swift’s music, having attended her tour last year like a family outing.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, the global sensation of 2023 and 2024, is wrapping up this year. Even the big names have been squeezing her epic tour into their schedules, and Mark Zuckerberg was no exception. In July 2023, the Meta CEO, his wife Priscilla Chan, and two of their daughters caught Swift’s show in Santa Clara, California. Zuckerberg was spotted rocking a pink t-shirt sparkling with tiny gems on his face, diving headfirst into the Swift spectacle. 

Captioning his Instagram pics with “Life of a girl dad,” he showcased his full-on Swiftie side. Even though Swift and Zuckerberg usually orbit in different realms—one in music and the other in tech—they are both billionaires who have built their empires from the ground up. So, in his quest to guide his daughter’s ambitions, Zuckerberg might have unintentionally taken a page from the Taylor Swift playbook.
