Not willing to miss out on making the most of the moment, Taylor Swift let her inner poet speak with hints at the upcoming ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ album. The potential eleventh studio album from the billionaire singer already has her fanbase in anticipation and the latest tease just upped the ante.
On her side, the pop star, however, ensured that the tease did maintain the aesthetics that her album has found itself to be associated with.

The unmissable opportunity to witness the solar eclipse already had people in unmatched hype and Taylor Swift just added fuel to the fodder for the Swifties as she shared an Instagram story with lyrics for ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. A typewriter moved and made its trademark clacking sound as “Crowd goes wild at her fingertips/Half moonshine, Full eclipse,” appeared on the sheet of paper below. Finally, a link to pre-order the album concluded the story.
The aesthetic perfectly matched the old-school vibes and sepia grunge that Swift has sprinkled all over her social media feed. Additionally, her official website also has updated its color scheme to fit the incoming April 19th drop. Furthermore, the latest tease came merely days after the ‘1989’ singer unveiled a 13-day countdown to the album’s release date, referencing her favorite number, which currently has its count reduced to just an additional ten days of wait.
Regardless, the predictions and presales numbers have already landed Taylor Swift a major musical milestone.

Announced during her reception of the 2024 Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift has since added at least four different editions of ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. Announced at various stages during her Eras Tours, the album will have a bonus track for each addition and thus, named accordingly with ‘The Manuscript’, ‘The Bolter’, ‘The Albatross’, and ‘The Black Dog’.
The pop star will also have an exclusive vinyl version as part of her partnership with Target. Incidentally, the hype for the drop has soared so far that the release is now looking to sell more than 1 million vinyl copies in its first week alone, matching a feat last achieved by Michael Jackon’s 1987 album ‘Bad’.
