Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Frenzy Gets All the More Unreal With Tickets Soaring at a Staggering $83,000 for Vancouver Takeover
The world may remember 2023 and 2024 for reasons like the Hollywood strikes and artistic comebacks, but one thing that wrapped pop culture around its fingertips was the Eras Tour by Taylor Swift. After minting a little more than a billion, making the world a symphonic runway, and writing her name in the stars, the tour that turned the tables for stage spectacles and redefined the “era,” is now on the brink of cessation. But besides the heartbreak that is overtaking her Vancouver arrival, the emotional turmoil comes with towering price tags reaching up to $83,000 as the Eras Tour reaches sky high alongside its tickets.
While Harvard has brainstormed the Taylor Swift effect before, this could be LSE’s cue.

After two years of globetrotting and breaking records left, right, and center, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is preparing for the point of no return with two more stops in Canada. However, with the eleventh-hour hullabaloo of snagging last-minute tickets, the sticker shock witnessed by Swifties is dropping jaws on the floor, specifically for her last three shows in Vancouver from December 6-8. With original tickets long out of reach, the most expensive resale ticket on VividSeats for the first night is $83,078 before fees.
The cheapest ticket for the December 6 show on StubHub is worth $2,025, including fees. Since the Eras Tour is far from a stage show that fits the definition of a traditional tour, but more like a barrel of Easter eggs curated personally by the pop princess, fans have even more to anticipate from its end than the spectacle she is set to bring. Having already been testimony to an elusive Instagram anomaly recently, Swifties even predict a big announcement with the Eras Tour’s closure.
While this makes the tour’s final tickets highly sought after, Swifites resorting to resale policies should remain aware of the latest Eras Tour policy.
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour’s update policy for ticket transfer
With the Eras Tour attaining its closure, a rampant trend of ticket touting took over X just before Taylor Swift’s US leg in October. However, the pop star took matters into their own hands, having previously made a fan-centric sacrifice, by announcing via The Eras Tour on X that tickets for the remaining shows would be available three days before each concert and would be transferable only then.

Fans who swapped tickets before the rule was brought in have their tickets safe in their accounts but will only be accessible three days before the show. Although this does not exactly benefit the purchasers of resale tickets, giving no way to confirm whether the deal is real before 72 hours, it works like a savior against the massive ticket scalping that has taken over social media over the last few months.
