Taylor Swift to Get a Town Named After Her as She Lands Another Landmark on Her Iconic The Eras Tour
Taylor Swift and her ongoing The Eras tour have once again reminded people of how big of a global phenomenon the singer is. This time, The Eras concert tour will pay homage to all of her albums. The tour broke records way before the concert even started in March as she became the artist to sell the most tickets in a single day, with over 2.4 million sales. And with such genuine and well-deserved build-up, the singer went on with her record-breaking streak after the tour started, too.
This time, Taylor Swift has not just made the fans swoon with her music, but a city too. This California city is all about Swift now, and this is what is happening.

The influence of Swift’s music reached a city in California. In an official notice from the City of Santa Clara, according to Pop Crave, the 33-year-old singer got proclaimed an honorary mayor from July 28 to July 29. It did not just stop at that. The mayor of the city, Lisa M Gillmor, gave a treat to all the Swifties by renaming the city as ‘Swiftie Clara’ for the period of Taylor Swift’s mayorship. It was in honor of the impact that the ‘Love Story’ singer has had on the Santa Clara community.
The document also highlighted all of Swift’s milestones in her career. Since her first album debut in 2006, the singer sold about 250 million units of all her 13 albums, studio and rerecorded combined. This massive fan base is also a testament to her 12 Grammys and 40 American music awards. And while one would think all of her success is channeled through awards, the American singer-songwriter is a philanthrope too. Sift has donated millions of dollars to natural calamity victims and funded musical education with millions too.
With 190 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 List and being the most streamed female artist on Spotify, this woman became the first ever female to break yet another record.

With an astonishing 11 titles, all of them are from different albums going in sync with her The Eras tour. Her tour has gained so much worldwide popularity that the singer nabbed 700+ times more people in Germany than in her hometown in Pennsylvania.
