For AMC, striking a deal with Taylor Swift to hold exclusive rights over her new movie’s theatric release has turned into a goldmine. As fans rushed to purchase tickets on the first day itself, the company raked in a whopping $26 million. Already deemed a blockbuster, the film’s high demand bumped up AMC’s shares to $13 per share.

Through the Eras Tour alone, the 33-year-old had injected a staggering $5 billion into the US economy. Now her movie’s pre-launch success is soothing the injuries theatres were suffering because of the SAG-AFTRA strikes haunting Hollywood. Obviously, one cannot deny that Taylor Swift is entering the league of pop sensations like Prince and Michael Jackson.

Later, as it kept appearing during her initial successes in the industry, she chose to deem 13 her lucky number. 

This is why when her movie’s release date and $13.13 ticket cost were announced, fans were assured that her movie would be a hit. And it seems they were right considering how even AMC is riding the wave of profits with a $13 increase.
