Taylor Swift Takes Sustainable Fashion to New Heights, as Stylist Cops Vintage Chiefs Jacket for Travis Kelce Game
Earlier this year, Taylor Swift caught a lot of flak for her huge carbon footprint. However, the pop star went above and beyond by buying more than double the carbon credits needed to cancel out her emissions, proving she still cared about the planet. And for anyone still on the fence about how eco-conscious this billionaire really is, her latest fashion choice at Travis Kelce's game should put those doubts to rest.
Taylor Swift recently wore a second-hand jacket at a Chiefs game, and it just so happened to be purchased from one of her own fans.

Taylor Swift recently showed up at the Chiefs' game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, wearing a black leather vintage-style varsity jacket. She paired it with a black top, black Agolde shorts, and thigh-high Christian Louboutin Santia Botta boots. And now, a TikTok user named Court is claiming that it was her jacket that the pop star’s stylist bought online. The TikToker even posted a screenshot of the eBay listing, revealing the jacket was purchased for just $169.
While Swift might be the biggest pop star in the world right now, she shops like someone on a budget. Sure, her wardrobe has high-end designers like The Row and Jean Paul Gaultier, but her everyday go-tos are from stores like Reformation, Free People, and Mansur Gavriel- places most of us probably already shop at. However, no matter how much she wants to, she cannot afford to wear an outfit twice.
Back in 2012, Taylor Swift talked about needing “hundreds” of dresses to keep up with the tabloids' endless cravings for new looks.

During an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Taylor Swift opened up about one of her fashion staples- dresses. "There's just something so feminine about a dress," she said, but quickly added that people expect her to own a ton of clothes, which puts her in a "predicament" where she cannot repeat outfits without facing media backlash. "Unfortunately I have to shop for dresses all the time”, said the 34-year-old.
Of course, Taylor Swift is the highest-paid entertainer and a billionaire, so she can afford this expensive celebrity lifestyle habit. However, when it starts to seem more like a constant race to keep up than a fun shopping experience, it is just not worth it. Nonetheless, even with these limitations, it looks like Taylor Swift is doing the best she can for the planet, with her smart take on sustainable fashion.
