The award season began with a golden nomination for Taylor Swift at this year’s Golden Globes. However, having missed the ticket to the golden title, all eyes were on the upcoming Grammy Awards to witness Swift waving the magic wand. But here, another concern that crept in was whether the audience would finally get a taste of her performance for the award ceremony. Even though her name was not there on the initial lineup of performers with Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo, the audience was awaiting the second round of declarations with a fixed gaze.

Now that the second list has arrived, her name seems to have yet again made the miss altogether among the others. 

Grammy Awards bandaid Taylor Swift snub with a star-studded list of performers

Just a while ago, the first set of performers for the 66th Grammy Awards was announced by the Recording Academy. While Swift’s name missing from the list had already driven fans into unprecedented worry, the expectation did not die down with the anticipation of the forthcoming list. Now that the list has yet again unveiled the spots for performers, Travis Scott, Burna Boy, and Luke Combs have grabbed them instead of Taylor Swift.

Well, not all the expectations have subsided because the additional acts, presenters, and more are yet to shed the secrecy before the final whistle. And although Swift may not have made it to the list as of now, no one knows what the future announcements hold. Except for those who tune in to CBS and Paramount+ on the 4th of February.

While Swift not making the list is a downer for most, Travis Scott’s taking the spot on the performer’s list has ignited considerable frenzy. However, the nominee list weighs heavier for Swift than for Scott this time.

Taylor Swift and Travis Scott’s Grammy Awards Nominations

As Trevor Noah will host the Grammy Award ceremony this year, the musical achievements and achiever’s mystery will finally shed its secrecy. After surpassing Sir Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie for grabbing seven nominations for the Song of the Year category, she grabbed 6 total nods in the nominee list. The six-time nominee will also go neck and neck with Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, Miley Cyrus, and Brandy Clark.

On the other hand, Travis Scott could only bag one nomination for this year, marking a total of 10 nominations to date. Scott has been up for the nomination for the Best Rap Album category for his studio album ‘Utopia’. Previously as well, Scott had been on the nominee list for this category for his studio album ‘Astroworld’. Although Scott is yet to win a Grammy, Swift’s victory in the ceremony could recreate last year’s sweeping winning chart.
