The 2024 Grammys were all about Taylor Swift. She walked away with her fourth Album of the Year trophy this year, all with an air of inevitability, and surprised fans by announcing her 11th studio album, 'The Tortured Poets Department'. This win catapulted the pop star into a league of her own, surpassing legends like Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, and Paul Simon, making her the only artist to claim the most Album of the Year wins in Grammy history. And her plans for the 2025 event are no different.

Taylor Swift has her sights set on dominating the 2025 ceremony, with her chart-topping album and documentary already in the running.

Grammy voting is notoriously hard to call. However, Taylor Swift has high hopes for her 2024 album and the blockbuster Eras Tour documentary. The pop star has submitted 'The Tortured Poets Department' for Album of the Year and some of its individual tracks for several other categories. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour documentary has been submitted in the music film category at the 2025 Grammys.

Swift’s documentary was submitted alongside Celine Dion’s I Am Celine and Lady Gaga’s Chromatica Ball. However, Beyoncé’s Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé was not submitted in that category. According to music industry experts, Swift and Beyoncé are the strongest contenders at the 2025 ceremony. Still, both pop stars this year are eyeing categories that have always slipped through their fingers at the Grammys.

After establishing herself as the biggest pop star with her Eras tour, this year's Grammys could be a record-breaking moment for Taylor Swift. However, despite holding the title of the most-nominated songwriter ever and being shortlisted for Song of the Year seven times, Swift has yet to clinch that award. Meanwhile, Beyoncé, despite being the most decorated artist- has never walked away with Album of the Year.

This year, though, Swift is hoping to change her luck with her song 'Fortnight,' which broke the record for the most streams in a single day earlier this year. Meanwhile, Beyoncé is shooting for Album of the Year with her country debut, 'Cowboy Carter', which has already been snubbed enough. The final nominations will be announced on November 8, revealing how many of these entries make it through.
