"Everything is fair in love and poetry". Hence, in rewriting history with 'The Tortured Poets Department,' Taylor Swift played the role of the white knight, steadfast in her quest to maintain her top position. After an impressive three-month stint at number one on the Billboard 200, Swift was unexpectedly dethroned by Detroit rapper Eminem. However, just in time for another week, her 11th studio album reclaimed the top spot—though not on the Billboard charts. Time and again, Swift has demonstrated that she will not be swayed by statistics.

With this latest achievement unlocked, she has once again proven that in the world of music, Taylor Swift reigns supreme.

Taylor Swift came close to achieving a milestone when Eminem took the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 with ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’, displacing ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. Predictions suggested that the 34-year-old artist might soon reclaim the top position, and those forecasts proved accurate—though not on the Billboard charts. Hits Double Daily recently reported that Swift's album has returned to No. 1 on Hits Top 50, selling 72,751 units.

Following Swift’s 13 nonconsecutive week’s stay on Hits Top 50, Morgan Wallen’s ‘One Thing At a Time’ holds the second spot with 64,578 units sold. Zach Bryan’s ‘The Greatest American Bar Scene’ is third with 63,035 units. Chapel Roan’s ‘The Rise and the Fall of the Midwest Princess’ claims the fourth position with 54,137 units. Rounding out the Top 5 is Billie Eilish, Swift’s presumed rival, with ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ selling 52,097 units.

Taylor Swift lost her top position on the Billboard 200 after a remarkable 12-week run with ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. As she entered her 13th week, Eminem took over the top spot, causing Swift to step aside. However, within about a week, Hits Double Daily reported that her record-breaking 11th studio album was on track to reclaim the top spot for a 13th consecutive week.

The 34-year-old is expected to sell nearly 75,000 units, with Morgan Wallen’s ‘One Thing at a Time’ projected to follow with 67,000 units. Zach Bryan’s ‘The Greatest American Bar Scene’ is anticipated to sell around 64,000 units. Thus, for now, it remains to be seen if Swift can rewrite history on the Billboard charts as she has already done on the Hits chart.
