Taylor Swift Passes on the Chiefs vs. Bills Game Not Because of Eras Tour but an NFL Reason
With Taylor Swift busy sourcing and bottling up every moment of epiphany for her fans to conclude the Eras Tour, and Travis Kelce back at the turfs doing his NFL magic, it is again that time of the year when tabloids have a field day behind the pop star’s absence during the matches. While the most logical explanation would be the Canadian and the last ongoing leg of the Eras Tour, Swift’s no-show at the latest match between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills shifts the spotlight to an NFL-related reason that has got nothing to do with her record-shattering world tour.
Though Swift’s absences from NFL games have long been reasoned with the Eras Tour, this time it is far from one.

Speculations were abundant that Taylor Swift would attend the Chiefs vs. Bills game on November 17, since she did not have an Eras Tour performance lineup that day. However, Swift remained absent during the game, and it reportedly has a lot to do with one of the past NFL experiences, as per sports commentator Adam Lefkoe. According to LefKoe, speaking to Kay Adams on Up & Adams Show, Swift, and Travis Kelce’s family did not have a memorable time at last year’s game in Buffalo.
In fact, Lefkoe highlights Kelce’s family, including Swift, were utterly “shocked” with the reception at the game. Apparently, experiencing Bills Mafia in their “full form” was not exactly their bingo cards that match-day, and their “complete ruthlessness” caught them off-guard. Lefkoe noted that some fandoms specialize in making opponent visitors “uncomfortable.” While Kelce’s brother appeared to be having a blast, Lefkoe speculated the Kelce family and Swift may have deliberately steered clear of such an “experience” this time around.
Swift’s absence may have disappointed Swift-Kelce shippers spanning the globe, but the NFL player’s potential cameo during the Eras Tour remains in the air.
Will Travis Kelce no longer grace Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stage?
When Travis Kelce appeared at Wembley Stadium to perform with Taylor Swift on the London leg of the Eras Tour, it easily became one of the unforgettable, iconic moments of the globetrotting tour. However, according to a source speaking with The US Sun, although the Eras Tour production team has suggested having Kelce on stage during her final shows for the ultimate surprise, after talking to Swift, they no longer think it is a good idea.

“As the season is still on, he has to focus on that as he is still a football player above all,” the source said of the ongoing NFL season. Since Kelce is already in a recovery phase from the shaky start to this season, his eyes for a third Super Bowl should be his focus now. Hence, although an Eras Tour cameo from Kelce may not be in the cards, hopefully, Swift’s cheerleading energy for the upcoming games compensates for that.
