2024 was probably the biggest year in Taylor Swift’s career. The pop star set a new benchmark with her $2 billion Eras Tour, broke multiple records and topped charts around the world with ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, won her fourth Grammy and also delivered the biggest publishing launch with her latest Eras Tour book. Despite such milestones and conquering multiple niches in the entertainment world, the pop star fell behind other artists in Google’s Year in Search lists for 2024.  

Forget topping the list- like she does usually- Swift could not even find a place in the top 10 alongside her musical peers. 

Google released its Year in Search results for 2024 to look back at the trends that users were most curious about this year. In the music section, Taylor Swift was seen nowhere in the most-searched musicians list. Even her protégé Sabrina Carpenter and rising star Chappell Roan was in the top 10, but not Swift. The most surprising part, however, was Eras Tour’s snub from the most-searched music tours list. 

Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, and eight other such tours were searched unremittingly on Google throughout 2024. But considering the frenzy around Eras Tour and its impact in pop culture, it was unexpected for it to not be the most-searched tour of 2024. Nonetheless, ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ from ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, was featured in the most searched songs list. While Swift always gives a tough fight when it comes to such lists, she might let it slide this time.

Taylor Swift seems burned out by the busy year, and she needs some much-needed downtime, especially with Christmas around the corner. 

Taylor Swift is a huge holiday enthusiast. Every year the pop star takes a break to celebrate the holiday festivities with her loved ones- and last year, Travis Kelce got to be a part of it too. This year as well, the NFL champion would be joining Swift for the holidays, as per multiple insider reports. Both their families are planning to spend Christmas together. But post her hiatus, there are some exciting things up. 

As per an US Weekly source, once Swift is done with the break, she would begin working on a new album. She could even go back on touring in 2026. “She had such a great experience on Eras. She really wants to do it again,” said the source. But for now, Swift is not committing to any plans, nor would she likely pay attention to chart and ranking showdowns for quite some time.
