Antanoff shared that there was nothing particular that the people in the production did to make the song a chartbuster. It was just the audience who “started playing it more and more”, making it one of the most popular songs from Taylor Swift’s collection. 

‘Cruel Summer’ is a fusion of synth-pop, industrial pop, and electropop styles which made it a crowd-pleaser that suited all tastes. It also received various certifications across the world with a peak position in multiple countries. Every other day, there is at least one reel on Instagram or TikTok that will feature the song, proving that the song still has fans grooving even after four years of its release. And not just fans, even her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, can not help himself grooving to Swift’s chart-topping songs.  

Recently, the tight end channeled his inner Swiftie at a baseball match when a popular track from Swift’s chartbusters started playing in the stadium. And it was not ‘Cruel Summer’.

He started bouncing up and down, all the while sipping his drink, just like a proud boyfriend of a pop sensation.
