Recently, influencer Joey Mancuso claimed on Instagram Threads that Taylor Swift lost 5 million followers. However, according to NPR, also reported by The National, the 'Cruel Summer' singer actually lost 300,000 TikTok followers last week and 50,000 on Instagram. 

The whole deal with blocking celebrities on social media is to dial down their influence online, which hits their reach and advertising cash. The movement also hopes to raise more awareness on the issue and increase pressure for global action towards a ceasefire. Even holding events like the Met Gala during these crises has turned fans against celebrities. But even though Swift has not spoken up on the matter, she has been helping out some fans during these tough times.
