Taylor Swift Leaves 4 Miles Shaken With Seismic Waves as These Three Songs Make Fans Stomp an Earthquake
Taylor Swift has once again delivered an earth-shaking concert. As the pop star brought her Eras Tour to Edinburgh, Scotland's capital, tens of thousands of fans caused tremors. It is no surprise, considering it turned out to be the most highly attended concert in Scottish history. This marked the third earthquake that Taylor Swift caused with her electrifying performances. However, the seismic activity in Edinburgh was primarily recorded during three specific songs.
The popularity of these chart-toppers prompted concertgoers to dance so vigorously that it set off seismic reverberations across four miles from the venue.

According to a report from the British Geological Survey, the Edinburgh leg of the Eras Tour was largely driven by fans jumping and dancing. Particularly during the song ‘…Ready For It?’, the performance generated approximately 80 kW of power. As per the report, the three songs that had the most seismic impact were ‘…Ready For It?’, ‘Cruel Summer’, and ‘champagne problems’. BGS Seismologist Callum Harrison commended the Scottish audience for upholding Scotland’s "reputation for providing some of the most enthusiastic audiences".
Despite the seismic activity recorded, scientists observed that the vibrations of the supposed earthquake were only felt by those in the immediate vicinity of the venue. Of all three concerts, it was the Friday night show that experienced the most seismic activity. Nonetheless, this was not the first time Swift caused an earthquake, but Scotland certainly became the first country to honor Swift’s arrival with a tram makeover.
Ahead of Taylor Swift's three shows at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh ensured that transporting fans to the concert would be as easy and thematically precise as possible.

The trams were adorned with the monochrome album cover from Swift's latest studio album, 'The Tortured Poets Department'. Edinburgh Trams' official X account also marked the occasion with a brief clip of the tram's journey to and from the stadium.
