Taking to the piano and guitar, she responded to the fans’ roar with “I see that I’ve chosen correctly!” Hardly able to control her smile and happiness, the singer continued to resonate as the audience swayed to the beats.
Mixing the trio of songs from different albums and productions, she relived her ‘Reputation’, ‘Folklore’, and ‘Fearless’ era all at once. Additionally, the remix medley on the second day of the three-day-long Melbourne Eras Tour gained attention for a first-of-its-kind, especially after her renewed set list from the first day. Furthermore, for the second surprise song of the night, she sang ‘This Is Me Trying’ on the piano, much to the delight of the attendees.
The performance extravaganza came close on the heels of her dropping a piece of major news on the first day of the Melbourne Eras Tour.

A few moments after taking to the stage at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Taylor Swift playfully thanked the audience for choosing to “hang out with us on a Friday night”. Additionally, while admitting to being “starstruck,” the lady of the moment announced a new cover and track for her upcoming ‘Tortured Poets Department’ album. A bonus track called ‘The Bolter’ highlighted the announcement even as the album got listed for preorder.
Notably, ‘Tortured Poets Department’ will debut as the 11th studio album of Taylor Swift. Announced at the 66th Grammy Awards, the singer spoke of its importance and highlights during her recently concluded Tokyo concerts. Scheduled to drop on April 19, the album will further the pop icon’s long-standing chokehold on music charts.
