After tons of public meltdowns, and endless political gossip, Taylor Swift recently broke her silence in the US elections, quoting LGBTQ+ rights, IVF access, and Women’s Rights. While her political leanings were hardly a surprise, these strings pulled her into the spotlight. But even after her endorsement, Elon Musk could not resist taking a shot at the pop icon. But the bigger twist came when his daughter, Vivian Wilson, clapped back, slamming his tweet as “heinous” on Threads.

Wilson did not hold back when she blasted her estranged father, Elon Musk, for his “abhorrent” tweet about Taylor Swift following her Democratic endorsement. In fact, she cheered on Swift’s perfectly timed endorsement, gushing, “Can’t wait to see the Swifties at the polls! Vote blue.” Yet, it was her bold takedown of Musk stealing the spotlight when she fired off, saying that if people cannot see why his remarks are problematic, they are part of the problem too.

While Swift’s endorsement brought some tension to the fold, it also saw the singer set off a wave of political enthusiasm in the US with several new names to the voter rolls.

Traffic reportedly spiked tenfold compared to the previous week. Additionally, the very next day witnessed a pool of 27,000 new registrations and 80,000 people checking their voter status. Swift had already flexed her influence with fans begging her to speak out, but the fact that she moved the needle with a single social media post? That speaks volumes about why she is truly a powerhouse.
