The Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud has escalated to involve numerous prominent music artists. Drake recently targeted Lamar with diss tracks like ‘Push Ups’ and ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’, prompting Lamar to retaliate with tracks like ‘Euphoria’ and ‘6:16 in LA’. However, fans did not know until now that Jack Antonoff and Sounwave collaborated to produce and write Lamar’s second diss track aimed at Drake, as confirmed by Variety via Antonoff's representative.
This response seems directly aimed at Drake's mention of Taylor Swift in his diss tracks. Drake ridiculed Lamar's hip-hop credibility in 'Push Ups' by referencing his appearance in Swift's 'Bad Blood', while 'Taylor Made Freestyle' was clearly designed to provoke Lamar. The timing of the second diss track even coincided with Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department'. Fans till now were unaware that Lamar had Antonoff in his corner, but now it raises questions if there is now a plausible ‘Bad Blood’ between Drake and Swift. Furthermore, it seems Drake also has a response track in waiting as per 50 Cent.
Irrespective of the connection between Drake and Swift, the focus naturally turns to the relationship between Antonoff and the 'Fortnight' singer. Especially given that their creative collaboration has recently faced criticism and skepticism.

Amidst the buzz surrounding Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, numerous tabloids and critics took the opportunity to laud the pop sensation. However, not all reviews were glowing, including one penned by renowned music influencer Anthony Fantano. On an episode of The Needle Drop podcast, Fantano specifically criticized Swift's collaboration with Antonoff, advising her to reconsider working with him.
Fantano drew comparisons between Swift's latest record and 'Midnights', highlighting what he perceived as flaws such as "synth bits" and "overcooked vocals" that made 'The Tortured Poets Department' feel like inferior leftovers of 'Midnights'. He described the album as outdated and a clear "mismatch", suggesting that Swift's creative partnership with Antonoff is no longer fruitful. While he also proposed that they take a break from collaborating, it is unlikely anyone expected their involvement in a rift akin to the feud between Lamar and Drake.
