Taylor Swift Fan Shares Her Frustrating Battle to Get Eras Tour Ticket Payback Amid Seller Red Tape
The Eras Tour may be officially behind us, but the memories and that electrifying thrill of it all are still fresh in everyone’s minds. Thanks to Taylor Swift’s pre-order sales and pre-sale access codes, millions of fans fought tooth and nail for those precious tickets. But, of course, there were also plenty of unlucky fans who struggled to even get a single email from the ticket gods, wondering if they would ever get the chance to see the global superstar perform.
One such fan recently stepped up to share her wild journey in trying to snag an Eras Tour ticket.

NJ Advance Media recently reported the saga of Charlene Kilinski’s Eras Tour ticket struggle. Kilinski tried to buy tickets for the Toronto show on Viagogo, a resale platform owned by the ticket giant StubHub. Despite booking a ticket for a whopping $2,749.95, fees included, of course, she could not download the ticket from the app. She reached out to customer service, who told her to keep an eye on her email- all while she was already at the concert venue, frantically hunting for an empty seat.
After what felt like an eternity, the seller finally informed her that there was no ticket for her. They said they would either find a comparable ticket or issue a full refund. “I was ready to give up,” said the Swiftie at fifty—a phrase that recently went viral again, thanks to fellow Swiftie Amy Adams. Eventually, she found another ticket for $800 less, but the seller still did not refund the difference. After a grueling back-and-forth, she finally got her refund, along with a $550 credit voucher to make up for the whole ordeal.
Swifties, however, have done some crazier things to catch a glimpse of their favorite pop queen.
How far can Swifties go to see the Eras Tour?
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, a two-billion-dollar success, did not just happen on its own. It was the feverish passion of Swifties that truly made it the massive success it became. Some fans spent big money on tickets that did not even guarantee they would see the pop star. In fact, just last month, Ticketmaster released some last-minute “no-view” seats tickets for the final three concerts of the tour for just $15.

Some fans also gathered in droves outside concert venues to experience the Eras Tour, ticket or no ticket. This gave rise to a phenomenon called ‘taylor-gating,’ where Swifties would gather in streets, parks, or parking lots, bringing snacks, drinks, and even air mattresses to watch the show from the outside. But in the end, it did not matter—because it was all worth it.
