Taylor Swift Eras Tour: A Whooping 450,000 Fans Push Real Madrid and La Liga Out of Their Stadium
Taylor Swift is currently in the second year of her highly acclaimed Eras Tour. Recently, her shows in Melbourne, followed by her sweet reunion with Travis Kelce in Sydney, had been flooding the headlines of everywhere. With mobbing concert arenas and fans queuing up for a glimpse of Swift, the Eras Tour has again set the buzzers of anticipation on a high tide. More precisely, the anticipation has been so skyrocketing that a sizeable ensemble of Swifties might be leading the Spanish football club, Real Madrid, and the top tier La Liga out of their own stadium.
This news came in shortly after a reported surge of ticket requests came in after the initial declaration, while the nod from La Liga was yet on hold.

After jetting Down Under recently, it seems that Taylor Swift’s next Eras Tour destination is looking out for a Mediterranean retreat. As per Relevo’s reports, the pop sensation is ready to hold a second concert at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the home stadium of Real Madrid, on May 29. This news came in after 450,000 fan requests came in just to obtain that ticket for a Swift concert after the first concert announcement on May 30th.
A later date was off the charts due to her performance in Lyon on June 2nd. Initially, Madrid required a green light from La Liga and currently, the reports confirm that the employer’s association has given the nod. Since the concert requires at least three days for preparation and to ensure safer conditions, to keep the sizeable margin and not cause a commotion, Madrid reportedly asked La Liga for their match to be played on May 25th despite not being usually placed for Saturdays.
While the change is quite visibly overwhelming for football fans, why is it so unusual for the match to be placed on a Saturday?

Taylor Swift is a top-selling recording artist for a reason. And it is her unfettering fan following religiously that keeps her on the hype run. A similar scenario also unfolded for the Madrid stadium undertakings, as thousands of fans kept swarming with one popular urge. Following this, the Madrid-Betis match has to be a part of a unified match day. However, since penultimate duels have always been held on Sundays for the last 10 seasons, it is unusual for them to take place on a Saturday.
Even though it is quite strange and perhaps even disappointing to football fans, such scenarios have taken place in the past where La Liga approved these types of requests for a supposed flux in the club’s income. However, as shocking as it is, it is also as convincing that the clash might invite a future backlash from other fans. Nevertheless, Swift is known for handling things with grace and hopefully, this time too, she will bring the same along with her.
