Taylor Swift and BLACKPINK are two pop powerhouses who are role models for countless female artists aiming to make it big in the industry. More than that, they truly admire each other. Whether it is Swift grooving to BLACKPINK’s song at the VMAs or the K-pop group members gushing over the pop star, their mutual admiration has always been on full display. However, it looks like a bit of friendly competition has joined the party this time.

Taylor Swift, recently, knocked down a major record set by BLACKPINK just a few months after the group created history with it on YouTube.

Over the years, Taylor Swift has piled up billions of views on YouTube with her music videos. She also made her debut on YouTube Shorts in 2022 by joining the #TSAntiHeroChallenge. All of this has led her to break a major record, becoming the most-viewed female YouTube channel in history with a jaw-dropping 37 billion views. Before her, that record was held by the K-pop group BLACKPINK.

Back in February, BLACKPINK became the Most Viewed Artist Channel in YouTube's history, with 33 billion views under their belt, making them the first musical act to reach such a milestone. But, true to form, Swift had to take the crown in this corner of the streaming world too, especially after dominating nearly every major streaming platform with her album 'The Tortured Poets Department' this year. However, this is not the first time Taylor Swift and BLACKPINK have crossed paths, and it has not always been about the streaming race.

If there is one album that Swifties have been wishing for consistently over the past year, it is ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version).’ At this point, it almost feels torturous to sift through all the Easter eggs and rumors without finding any solid leads. However, this year, another exciting rumor has popped up regarding the re-recording that BLACKPINK might collaborate with Swift on ‘Reputation (Taylor's Version).’

This was reported by Pop Tingz in August, and fans have not been able to keep their excitement in check ever since. Especially since the members of BLACKPINK look up to Swift so much and admire her career path, if this collaboration were to happen, it would definitely lead to another record-breaking moment for both the star of the Eras Tour and the K-pop sensation.
