One of the biggest pop stars in the world as she may be, Taylor Swift did not think twice, and even if she did, it did not stop her from standing up against one of the most supported man in the United States at that time, Donald Trump. This marked the beginning of the Taylor Swift x politics plotline, which, especially with the 2024 presidential elections, is still unraveling.

With AI images of Swifties holding Trump placards along with a suspicious Swifties for Trump trend emerging on X, the pop star who was keeping her distance from the elections this time around, took her first day off from the Eras Tour to advocate for Kamala Harris. That this would result in her and her cats getting a shoutout from Tim Walz was, however, unexpected.

Whatever an individual's political stance maybe, it does not take a genius to identify the marketing strategies being weaved in by different political parties. And celebrities are more often than not pawns in this game. This was evident in the backlash that ensued as Taylor Swift hung out with Brittany Mahomes, allegedly a Donald Trump supporter. However, playing 'Karma', Tim Walz gave Taylor Swift a shoutout at his rally, calling her a "smart women."

Between Eras Tour and endorsements, Swift can now add political laurels to her ever-growing hat collection. While it may have been a bit unexpected for the singer, given that Kamala Harris' campaign has been heavily fueled by celebrity support. And although not the most popular with the Hollywood clan, Donald Trump too has his fans in the celebrity club.

One of the major reasons behind the backlash that followed Donald Trump was his descent towards the Black Lives Matter movement. However, despite a larger part of Hip-Hop being decorated by black artists, quite a few big names from the industry have stood up to show support for Trump. While Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is a popular name in the Trump support club, Fivio Foreign and Kodak Black really upped the ante this time around.

Having contested for presidential elections himself, writing one of the most bizarre chapters in political history, Ye's dynamic with Donald Trump has been complicated. However, Fivio Foreign and Kodak Black left no questions, only flabbergasted reactions, as they released a track featuring the former President of the United States. While they may have been simply paying their dues, it served as a promotion, regardless.
