After the turn of 2024, a major chunk of pop culture events have either stemmed from or led to Taylor Swift. The singer, who stands as the sole solo artist to climb over $1 billion in net worth from the weight of her music alone, also happens to be one of the most influential women across America, if not the globe. The 34-year-old’s opinions and chokehold impact on the young generation have many favoring her as their role model.

Taking the cue, Hallmark Channel’s latest production, An American in Austen, made sure to incorporate the same, in the most fitting manner possible.

The ‘1989’ singer remains no stranger to romance. An exclusive report by People stated that Hallmark Channel’s latest Loveuary movie, An American in Austen, honored that aspect of Taylor Swift. A snippet had the lead character, Eliza Bennett’s Harriet, admit that “She (Swift) really is the voice of a generation.”

Hailing from modern times, her vision of the perfect world and Mr. Darcy as the perfect man gets challenged time and again. Following a chain of events, she sat by a window looking at the stars, as per the snippet, while remarking “I’m the problem, it’s me,” a popular line from Taylor Swift’s ‘Anti-Hero’ song.
