Taylor Swift’s 2025 Grammy Wins: Top Categories She’s Most Likely to Dominate

Published 11/10/2024, 1:30 AM EST

It is nearly impossible to imagine Taylor Swift walking away from an awards show empty-handed. She has built quite a 'Reputation' for herself over the years, especially at the Grammys. With 58 nominations and 14 wins, Swift is one of the most decorated female artists in Grammy history, coming in at number seven for the most wins by any woman. And as the 2025 ceremony approaches, it is only natural for fans to wonder just how many of those gold-plated Gramophones she will add to her collection next year.

This time around, Taylor Swift has been nominated for six Grammys, and while she has a shot at winning across the board, there are three categories where her chances of taking home a trophy are especially strong.

Best Pop Vocal Album

Taylor Swift has been nominated for a Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammy's almost every time she has released a new album since '1989'. In fact, she announced 'The Tortured Poets Department' while accepting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for 'Midnights' this year. And, if she wins the same category next year for her 2024 album, the Grammys could come full circle for the pop star.

'The Tortured Poets Department' certainly also deserves this recognition for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that the album marked a very mature phase in Swift's pop sound. It was an evolution in her music that resonated with both critics and fans.

Song of the Year

Despite her long list of accolades, Taylor Swift has never actually taken home the Song of the Year Grammy. However, that could change this time around. 'Fortnight,' one of the standout tracks from 'The Tortured Poet’s Department,' is expected to make this historical win happen for the songstress.

The reason being, it is an introspective, emotionally charged song- exactly the kind of track that tends to resonate with Grammy voters. On top of that, her collaboration with Post Malone and Jack Antonoff also brings some major star power to the fold.

This could significantly boost the song’s chances of earning the anticipated recognition at the 2025 Grammys.

Best Music Video

This Best Music Video nomination marked Taylor Swift's second solo nomination in this category as a director. Her reputation as a director has been growing, especially after the success of All Too Well: The Short Film, which puts her in a strong position as a frontrunner in this category.

While fans are frustrated that the Grammys snubbed the Eras Tour documentary- just as it has overlooked other artists and their work this year- they may find some comfort in seeing Swift get recognized as a director, even if it is not as a producer or performer.
