Taylor Swift's devoted fan base is known for its eagle eye at the smallest Easter eggs and cryptic messages hidden within the lyrics and liner notes of her albums. Often with references to her personal life, her albums tend to bring the house upside down with fans foraying deeper into possible theories. Her latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', is no exception. With fans quickly uncovering the subtle hints that allude to her former hits, excitement among the Swift fandom has reached sky-high.

Moreover, after a major hint from the songstress herself, it is only natural for her fanbase to bask in joy. A famous social media theory that linked 'The Tortured Poets Department' to Swift's 2022 hit has officially reached the singer herself. The theory, led by an avid fan Patty Eminger, suggested that the first song of the first album, a spot-on hit featuring Post Malone, is somehow related to the last song on 'Midnights'.

The fan pointed out how 'The Tortured Poets Department’s beginning song lyric is a continuation of Midnights’ ending note. As 'Midnights’ last line goes, “Is that your key in the door / Is it OK? / Is it you? / Or have they come to take me away?” Swift's latest gig picks it up with “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me.”

While it was just one of the numerous fan theories floating around on social media previously, it is not the same anymore. As the post gained much momentum on Instagram, the songstress took a moment to seemingly confirm the theory in a candid gesture. Taylor Swift has evidently liked the post, with fans on the brim of excitement to what's in store for them next.

Why the 2012 Taylor Swift Album Is Still the Best She Has Ever Produced

The post is nowhere about Eminger going bonkers about the “genius” album but more about how Swift has concurred for the same.

Bewildered by the fact that Swift herself liked the video, a fan exclaimed “OMG TAYLOR LIKED THIS” while another tagged it as one of the most "chaotic albums" from Swift's records as she takes on the world. Another came to defend the pop star from critics pointing out the irony of how they claimed, “'It's not a lyrical masterpiece,' but they aren't even smart enough to get it”.

While all of this must be still taken with a pinch of salt, Swift's single like on the post seems sufficient at the moment to keep fans well-fed. As the 34-year-old music titan is about to enter her “wifey” era, her back-to-back hits on the career front have proved why records claim her as one of the most powerful women in the world
