“Stages of grief”- Fans Lose It as ‘New Rory & Mal’ Host Continues His Drake Defending Streak Months After ‘Not Like Us’ Drop

While much has been said and done about the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, just how much a profiting phenomenon it truly was has only sunk in now, as we inch closer towards the end of the year and the active engagement towards the two diss tracks is yet to drown. However, it is not simply on fans this time around as well-known supporters of Drake from Camila Cabello to New Rory & Mal host continue to defend the rapper despite Kendrick Lamar's unofficial win.

Mal in particular has taken it upon himself to weather out the still dangerous storm for Drake since the onslaught of the rap battle this year, but only seems to be making it worse for himself and the rapper. Following his aggressive defense of Drake in May, the podcast host has returned with another revelation about him and the 'God's Plan' rapper laughing on a verse from 'Not Like Us' on The Relentless Diaries podcast that has only earned him fan bites.

Earlier in the year, Mal had lashed out Kendrick Lamar and his supporters, stating that Drake had no skeletons to hide and he remains one of the greatest rappers in the industry while pointing fingers at Kendrick Lamar. However, backlash does not seem to shake up Drake's industry friends, as proven by Camila Cabello's unhinged loyalty to him throughout.

While the backlash may not have shaken him up the first time around, with the latest revelation, all pointy nails have Mal as their primal focus.

Fans unleash attack on Mal following his Drake defense 2.0

With the release of 'Not Like Us' and Drake being unable to match the heat in Kendrick Lamar's verses, even the most avid of Drake's supporters knew there was no coming back from this one, except, of course, Mal. The podcast show host has now claimed that he and Drake laughed at certain verses from 'Not Like Us', which if anyone needs a reminder is just a needle width away from being considered a lethal weapon aimed at Drake's safety, or relevancy to be more precise.

Fans identified Mal's behavior as one of the "stages of grief" as they referenced how both the hosts had trouble recovering from the diss.

Taking a breath from roasting, certain fans dug deeper and analyzed the trend of certain podcasters defending Drake's honor, labeling it a smart tactic by the rapper to stay relevant in the age of podcasts. Regardless, this defense does not look like a good color on Drake or his supporters.
