Taylor Swift took 2023 by a chokehold and her current momentum showcases that she stands nowhere close to letting go of that steam. Ahead of a fateful year that would see her tour several countries, the singer remains on a war footing to sail ever stronger than before. Starting her career in her early teens and becoming the sole female artist to enter the billionaire charts solely based on her music, her ascent to the heights remains a saga worth admiring.

In the face of such successes, the once-country singer has again extended her lead by achieving another gemstone in streaming records.

The end of the last year brought blooming laurels to the 34-year-old. Taylor Swift shared her joy after becoming Spotify’s Global Top Artist of the Year and just a few weeks later now, her ‘Reputation’ album became the latest to cross 7 billion streams. The 2017 release has now become her fourth such straight entry into the coveted album with ‘Red’, ‘1989’, and ‘Lover’ being the three others. Soon after ‘Lover’ had become the first to crack into the club, all of her next successive entries came within the next six months.

Standing tall with over 26.1 billion streams in 2023, the entry now has made Swift the only artist to ever manage such a feat in Spotify history. Interestingly, the album also boasts a staggering current pull of over 7 million daily listeners. Furthermore, while ‘Lover’ has already sailed past the 8 billion mark, ‘Folklore’ is closing on being the next entry to the 7 billion league. By all means, a true pioneer, the singer’s rise to superstardom now knows no bounds.
