"Sh*t myself"- Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Opening Act Beabadoobee Has Powerful Words About Her Experience

Taylor Swift has let many of her friends and favorite artists shine on her Eras Tour through its opening acts. One of them was Beabadoobee, who has been a true-blue Swiftie herself for the longest time. The singer first rose to fame with her song ‘death bed (coffee for your head)’ in 2020, but it was after her opening acts on the Eras Tour last year that she became the name on everybody’s lips. Recently, the artist opened up about her experience with the highly grossing tour led by Taylor Swift.

Even though she is grateful for the opportunity, performing at the Eras Tour was not a walk in the park as one would imagine.

Beabadoobee joined Taylor Swift on Eras Tour in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Houston from March 24 to April 29. Recently, during an interview with Nylon, she revealed feeling "numb on stage". It was way more overwhelming than she had anticipated, or than she had been told by people behind the scenes. "By the end of the tour, I was wanting to sh*t myself every time I went on stage," said the 24-year-old songwriter. The fame from the Eras Tour also prevented her from indulging in some of her favorite activities.

Beabadoobee shared how she can not visit many places, which she finds really "depressing". However, she is still thankful for the journey and growth she has gone through. Earlier, the 'Fake It Flowers' singer told Crack Magazine that Swift approached her first, expressing love for her music. "She said she never skips a song," said Beabadoobee. Despite Swift's obvious admiration for the Radar Award winner, Beabadoobee did not expect the 'Lover' star to honor her with the most touching gesture at Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift, during her acoustic portion of the Eras Tour show at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium, revealed that she had done her research well on Beabadoobee. And the songstress found out that the rising artist grew up with Swift's debut LP. The 'Cruel Summer' singer told the crowd, "I figured for her first show with us, I'd play that specific song that she said she wanted to hear".

Taylor Swift then went on to dedicate 'Our Song' to Beabadoobee. The Filipino-born English singer told PEOPLE, "It's like all the problems have just been solved at that moment". Beabadoobee thought it was "mental" that someone she grew up admiring would appreciate her music so much. While it is not new for Swift to appreciate fellow artists in the best way possible, after Beabadoobee's recent interview, it is evident that the Eras Tour opportunity was a mixed bag for the opening act artist.
