Kanye West is finally back under the stage lights after ghosting the music industry for a while. His upcoming collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign has been one of the most anticipated projects this year. Ye’s decision to keep the album under wraps led fans to dig through tabloids, leakers, and dedicated fan hubs for updates. However, it seems like the wait is finally drawing to a close following Ty Dolla $ign’s most recent album update.

Not only $ign but also the American record producer, Metro Boomin, shared the update about Kanye West’s upcoming album on Tuesday, making the day particularly special for Ye’s fans. However, the day had another significance in the rapper’s life.

Twenty-one years ago, Kanye West survived a life-threatening accident that left everyone in disbelief. While driving back from his studio, he fell asleep at the wheel of his rented Lexus and crashed his car into an oncoming vehicle. While the driver of the other car broke both his legs in the accident, Ye ended up with a broken jaw. Seven years after collaborating with Ye on his seventh studio album, ‘The Life of Pablo’, Metro Boomin shared the date of Kanye West’s upcoming listening party event on his Instagram story on the same day when the mishap happened.

Metro Boomin shared the screenshot of Ty Dolla $ign’s Instagram Post, which had a black background with white text. The post read, “multi stadium listening event November 3rd”. The post also had the yen “Y” and a dollar-sign symbol‌, “¥$”, which everyone believes is the official album’s name. This will be the first release of Ye after everyone gave him the cold shoulder for his anti-Semitic remarks, including his friend Elon Musk.

On October 18, Ye’s friend, Ian Connor, shared screenshots of Ye and Musk’s conversation on Instagram. In the text messages, West accused the Tesla owner of not being a supportive friend. “You call yourself my friend so I can bring my audience to your struggling platform,” added the 46-year-old rapper. He also went on to accuse the SKIMS owner, Kim Kardashian, of keeping his kids away from him.

Touching on the car accident, West texted Musk saying, “I have signs of autism from my car accident”. As per the screenshots, Ye himself asked Connor to make the chats public. However, there has not been any reply from Elon Musk to Ye’s finger-pointing messages. While the car accident was deadly, it inspired the ‘Donda’ rapper to produce the chartbuster, ‘Through The Wire’ that got him a Grammy nomination.
