As the Billboard 200 results faced an unexpected delay this week, Travis Scott's fans, suspecting foul play, feared he would again be the victim of deprivation. Scott ultimately fell just short, debuting at #2 with the re-release of ‘Days Before Rodeo,’ while Carpenter claimed the top spot. Meanwhile, according to Billboard, Carpenter additionally became the second act and the first soloist ever to have their first three top-five hits on the Hot 100 simultaneously after The Beatles.

Carpenter joins an exclusive club with The Beatles, who first achieved this feat on the chart in 1964, with ‘I Want to Hold Your Hand,’ ‘She Loves You,’ and ‘Please Please Me’ occupying Nos. 1, 2, and 4, respectively. Currently, on the Hot 100, Sabrina Carpenter shines with ‘Taste’ at No. 2, followed by ‘Please Please Please,’ which climbs from No. 9 to No. 3, and ‘Espresso,’ which rises from No. 7 to No. 4. All three tracks are from her latest album, ‘Short n’ Sweet.’

Sabrina Carpenter secured her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with the debut of her new studio album, ‘Short n’ Sweet,’ which earned 362,000 equivalent album units in the US during the week ending August 29, according to Luminate. Meanwhile, the first official release of Travis Scott’s 2014 mixtape, ‘Days Before Rodeo,’ debuted at No. 2, becoming his fifth top-five-charting effort.

The album fell just short of the top spot, behind Carpenter with a little over 361,000 equivalent album units. This achievement marks the fourth-largest debut of the year and the biggest week for any rap album. Of that total, 331,000 units were from album sales, representing the second-largest sales week and the best for any rap album. Thus, even though Scott debuted at #2, he ultimately won over his fans, if not the chart itself.
