Earlier today, Britney Spears shared an image on her Instagram page that showed her and the ‘Style’ singer posing together in 2003 and 2008 side-by-side. In the caption to the post, the 41-year-old deemed Swift her “girl crush” after relaying an incident that happened during her Oops Tour. Apparently, young Swift had appeared at backstage to sing her a song. Well, as she continued to do so, Spears felt she was “unbelievable”.
Even as a teenager, the ‘Bad Blood’ singer had successfully wowed the original queen of pop music. According to Spears, she sang a “beautiful song with her guitar”. Now, the ‘Criminal’ singer is convinced that she is the “most iconic” pop star of this generation. Additionally, she also called the 33-year-old “stunning”, being clearly smitten with her. Evidently, Swift’s bold gesture impressed the veteran artist.
In addition to her words for Swift, Spears also had a message for her mother in her post.

Besides her endearing message for Swift, Spears ended her post with an epilogue dedicated to her mother. In it, she was referencing an incident that came to light recently through her memoir. Among the stories in her book was one in which the mother of two accused her mother of taking away her toys in her childhood. Well, her recent Instagram share contained a snippet of that story’s continuation.
Lately, 2023 has become the year of controversial memoirs that made significant waves. After Jada Pinkett Smith’s bombshell revelations in her book, Spears’ The Woman in Me biography detailed tales of her harrowing childhood. As the drama surrounding her family intensifies, the 4-year-old seems to be finding relief in looking back at her good old days when she met her ‘girl crush’.
