“Pls advise”- Ye Finds Himself Sidelined Once Again With the Independent Artist Title
From the two likely metaphorical locations we know of trouble either being in paradise or going wherever Ye, formerly known as Kanye West goes, it has become painfully evident over the last year as the rapper works to make a grand comeback that trouble loves the rapper more. After the nearly impossible release of the second volume of 'Vultures', it seems that Ye has another roadblock coming his way, and this one might just wipe off everything in its wake.
Just days after releasing 'Vultures 2', the real reason behind its extended delay, and now its probable wipe-off from streaming platforms, has been revealed by Ye.

In the past month, Ye has trampled over retirement speculation and washed out claims, although with a lot of adversity. However, it seems through Ye's Instagram story that the worst of it was yet to come. The rapper posted screenshots of his chat with his manager John Monopoly who after updating the rapper on the dreadful situation that would end in the album being taken down if 40% of all revenue is not given to the Atlantic, in a desperate plea wrote, "pls advise."
While Ye did not reveal his advice to his manager to millions of his followers, he did write out a reverberating message stating, "this is what they do to independent artists." Given the messages and the titles that have already been taken down, things are not looking good for Ye and his 'Vultures 2' drop.
Although it may cost his album being slashed off streaming platforms, it is unlikely that the rapper will curb. After all, he has been advocating for independent artists for a while now.
Ye's beef with streaming platforms

While Drake and Kendrick Lamar were busy beefing with each other, the audience failed to notice another beef that would probably have a bigger impact on the rap industry; Ye vs mainline streaming platforms. Owing to his belief that streaming platforms are basically pirating music, the rapper just cannot get into an agreement with a single one of them.
When 'Vultures 1' dropped, fans noticed that certain tracks were wiped off streaming platforms within a second. While this had more to do with Ye's unauthorized sampling of songs, it also speaks for the turbulent relationship the two parties share. Regardless, if Ye is not willing to give away that 40% this may end up in a 100% loss of the 'Vultures 2' album.
