As Taylor Swift stepped out in New York City recently, she met with a chorus of “Happy birthday!” from a crowd of paparazzi. Even the gracious pop star smiled at the photographers as she made her way to her BFF Blake Lively, who was hopping off the drive. The ‘Midnights’ singer came, defying chilly weather in a sequenced short black dress featuring a crescent moon and cloud pattern.

The singer complemented the look with black pumps and her iconic red lip color. She wore her blonde hair straight, cascading down her shoulders. Lively also twinned with the birthday girl donning a black leather dress paired with a towering pair of Christian Louboutin laced-up boots. Unfortunately, her beau could not make it to her party and instead sent a massive bouquet of white flowers to her New York City apartment.

It seems the Grammy winner decided to spend the evening with her close friends, considering she certainly had a lot to celebrate. Only one day before her birthday, Eras Tour made it to the Guinness Book of World Records. While celebrating her big day with loved ones, she also turned to Instagram for a special request from fans.

On the auspicious day of her birth, Taylor Swift dropped a snippet of her Eras Tour on Instagram. She thanked her fans in the caption and wrote, “I had the time of my life fighting dragons with youuuu”. Then she asked them to celebrate this milestone of her life by watching her film in theatres. In the endnote, she joked people can troll her for her excessive use of emojis. However, she still feels pride in being a millennial and does not shy away from flaunting it.

While Swift keeps on making endless records, her birthday celebrations are still going on. Before going out on dinner with Blake Lively at The Box Night Club, she celebrated her birthday with longtime friend and soul sister Selena Gomez. The pop star duo was spotted enjoying some time together in NYC. Both dressed in suitably snug attire for the cold weather with a fashionable twist, the two looked amazing.
