Award season always delivers its fair share of drama, but the 67th Annual Grammy Awards? It was a spectacle. Dubbed the biggest night in music, the event did not just set the stage but flipped it, spun it, and left jaws on the floor. While artists rose, fell, and served the highlights, one red-carpet appearance stole the entire show when Ye, formerly Kanye West, pulled up with Bianca Censori, setting social media ablaze with a controversy that refused to cool. The chatter only escalated when former Oscar host Jimmy Kimmel took a verbal swing, branding the Atlanta rapper a “rodent.”

In fact, Kimmel went as far as to suggest the only fitting Grammy afterparty for Ye should have been a Will Smith-style Oscar slap.

When Ye returned to the Grammy’s red carpet after a decade-long hiatus, the world braced itself for the inevitable spectacle. And spectacle, it was. Bianca Censori turned heads and likely twisted necks with her barely there ensemble. Showbiz tongues wagged in full throttle, and Jimmy Kimmel was no exception. During his February 3 monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the comedian suggested that Will Smith should have redirected his infamous Oscar slap toward Ye instead, dubbing him a “rodent.”

Channeling the ghost of Oscars past, Kimmel called out the rapper for scurrying onto the red carpet for attention, an unsubtle nod to the now legendary Will Smith-Chris Rock altercation that still refuses to vacate collective memory. Turning his comedic sights on the real show-stealer, he took a jab at Censori for wearing, well, “nothing.” The former Oscar host joked that he would have dedicated the entire monologue to their eyebrow-raising appearance if it were not for a certain ex-president reclaiming his old address.

With the political landscape serving up its own brand of shockers, Jimmy Kimmel quipped Ye and Bianca Censori barely cracked the top 10 wildest moments of the week. But then again, he was barely done.

Jimmy Kimmel never misses a chance to sink his teeth into a juicy Hollywood spectacle, and Bianca Censori’s barely there attire at the Grammys helped him stack at least a year's worth of punchlines. During his Jimmy Kimmel Live monologue, the comedian took a swipe at Censori and Ye, roasting their scandalous red carpet antics, drawing parallels between Censori’s fashion choice and Janet Jackson’s infamous stage incident because history repeats itself, just with fewer wardrobe malfunctions and more intentional shock value.

Kimmel even went on to crack the code on how Will Smith could fast-track his way to the Oscar stage despite his decade-long ban by taking a page from his own history book and just slapping Ye on the red carpet during his Grammy attendance. “I think all would be forgiven. He would be hosting the Oscars next year,” he joked. While the Grammys had no shortage of headline-grabbing moments, Kimmel's mic drops came with no music, just pure shade.
