From the moment Taylor Swift stepped onto her Eras Tour stage in a bodysuit shimmering with pink and blue jewels, fans were convinced she was the sparkle the MCU sought. Among all the rumored entries in Marvel, it was the idea of Taylor Swift as Dazzler that had fans most excited. Well, perhaps not anymore. As the songstress revamped some of her tour elements for Europe, including changes to her costumes, fans seemed to have brushed Dazzler aside and started seeing her more like a Phineas and Ferb character.

Taylor Swift just dropped some fresh threads for her '1989' looks on the Eras Tour. She ditched the monochrome for the European leg and instead went for some mismatched ensembles. In one of the looks, she wore a sequined yellow ombré top paired with a glittery teal skirt, along with custom Christian Louboutin shoes in each color. The color combination for this sartorial choice prompted fans to liken Swift to Phineas and Ferb’s Perry the Platypus. 

Perry the Platypus also has teal fur and a yellow beak, which has a resemblance to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour ensemble. While the Disney character has always been a beloved figure in internet meme culture, no one expected the pop sensation to be dragged into the trend as well. Since fans pointed out this similarity online, it seems like discussions about Dazzler have completely taken a backseat.

Lately, there have been multiple signs that have led fans to entertain the possibility of Taylor Swift potentially stepping into the role of Dazzler down the line. Marvel Comics recently announced a four-issue series titled DAZZLER. And its premise, focusing on Alison Blaire embarking on a global tour and singing about her exes, has only fueled fans' speculation further. In between this frenzy, the random comparison between Taylor Swift and Perry the Platypus has left fans unable to shake the image off their heads now.
