No More ‘Bad Blood’? An “old friend” Reunites With Taylor Swift at Star-Studded Sydney Eras Tour

Additionally, in the past few months, following the massive reception and swooning of her Eras Tour, currently taking over Sydney, her influence has all but grown. In light of this, another major artist in the pop arena who once had themselves linked with feuds to the ‘Wildest Dreams’ singer also made an appearance at the star-studded event much to the surprise of fans.
Thereafter, the two pop icons also met backstage and, among everything, moved past their rumored enmity with heartfelt captions.
Bad Blood reactions wash away feuding rumors in Sydney

In 2013, rumors of a feud between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry reached an all-time high, shaking the frontiers of pop music. Moreover, the singer’s iconic hit, ‘Bad Blood’ also found itself linked as a direct reference to the ‘Feels’ singer. However, brushing all of it past, the two singers met each other backstage on the first day of the Sydney Eras Tour. Following it, Perry shared an all-smiles selfie to her Instagram with the caption, “got to see an old friend shine tonight”.
The Taylor Swift and Katy Perry feud dates as back as 2008, even before the former’s dispute with Kanye West. In 2018, the ‘Fireworks’ singer also sent her counterpart an olive branch and a handwritten letter even as the duo actively denied any bickering and appeared cordial enough. As of today’s show, Perry shared herself rejoicing to ‘Bad Blood’ at the stadium, much to the delights of their fandoms.
However, Katy Perry did not come out as the only star or surprise in the show either.
Travis Kelce graces Sydney Eras Tour even as Taylor Swift braves bad weather
The first night of the Sydney Eras Tour hosted over 81,000 fans at the Accor Stadium, including the likes of Taika Waititi and Rita Ora. Soon after, Travis Kelce also arrived amid much fanfare and occupied the VIP tent, where he also interacted with Katy Perry. Dressed in a blue t-shirt and adorned with friendship bracelets all over, the NFL star rejoiced in his beau’s songs.

On the fateful night, bad weather with threats of thunder and lightning delayed the concert during the start. The pushback caused the support act by Sabrina Carpenter to get canceled. Yet Taylor Swift made up for it by having the 24-year-old share the stage for a duet to the roar of fans.
