Ye (formerly Kanye West) is widely recognized as a trailblazer, yet the frequent controversies often keep people at a distance. Despite his contentious persona not hindering his global fan base, many artists have distanced themselves from him over the course of his career. However, those who appreciate his full potential continue to support him despite his issues. Recently, Nigerian artist Tems expressed her admiration for the 'Donda' legend, unable to contain her enthusiasm.

While his music is one aspect that continues to attract the elite to Ye despite controversies, his Yeezy vision is another significant factor, maintaining its dominance even after the end of the partnership with the German brand.

In a recent episode of the Shopping The Sneakers podcast by Kick Game in London, Nigerian singer and record producer Tems declared her love for the ever-controversial American rapper Ye. While discussing the Nike Air Yeezy 2 SP ‘Red October’ sneakers seen on the kicks stack, Tems revealed she would wear them without hesitation. When asked if her appreciation extended to Ye's music as well, Tems responded, "I love Kanye."

While Tems' declaration was already intriguing, she took her support a step further. Despite the rapper's controversial nature, Tems admitted that she sometimes relates to him. While the Atlanta rapper is far from irrelevant, it is rare for artists to share such relatability. Although the host suggested her astrological sign, Gemini might explain her relatability quotient, even the stars know they alone do not account for her connection to Ye, who has been in the spotlight since the '90s.

Speaking of relatability, Ye’s musical influence is not only buzzing in Nigerian circles but also in Asia. His Korean LP, in particular, prompted numerous K-pop celebrities to clear their schedules to make time for his spectacle.

On August 23, Ye held his Vultures Listening Experience at Korea’s Goyang Stadium, selling over 69,000 tickets within just five minutes. The packed stadium was not only filled with his dedicated fans but also saw a significant presence of K-pop celebrities, who turned out in droves to support Ye. According to All K-Pop, the audience included K-hip-hop artists and K-pop stars such as Mini, Danielle, and Hanni from NewJeans.

2NE1’s CL and Minzy, aespa’s Giselle and Winter, and Jeon So Mi were also in attendance, along with TREASURE’s Jihoon, Hyunsuk, Yoshi, Doyoung, and Haruto. While the presence of this high-profile lineup of Korean celebrities made Ye’s performance a star-studded event, Ye is seemingly on a personal mission to become an intercontinental sensation, with his influence resonating from Asia to Africa.
