After making history with her debut single ‘Pink Friday,’ the rapper is back on the scene with its sequel, ‘Pink Friday 2.’ To honor the occasion, the rapper shared some lyrics from her forthcoming album on her official Twitter account. With that, she also announced the album’s release date, which is December 8, 2023. The expectation for the album is pretty great, given that her post received 55 thousand views in only 20 minutes.
The upcoming record is expected to be her fifth studio album, following 2018’s ‘Queen.‘ Not only has the singer announced a new album, but she has also planned a tour, dubbed the Pink Friday Tour 2, in which she will go around the world performing new songs from the highly anticipated record. While the public will have to wait for the full-length album, based on her previous work, this album will be nothing short of a masterpiece.
While the singer’s record is expected to dominate the charts, it was supposed to be published on November 17th. She changed it to avoid clashing with her mentor Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s collaborative project on the same day.
Why did Nicki Minaj delay her original release date?
The rap fanatics who have been following the news of her album since day one are well aware that she had a release date of November 17. However, she has changed it to her birthday on December 8. This occurred as a result of Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz releasing their collaborative project ‘Welcome 2 Collegrove’ on the same day. This was not the singer’s first alteration, as she had originally set October 20 as the release date.
