Kanye West‘s eccentric nature and unpredictable personality is a much-discussed affair. The rapper never shies away from speaking his mind about his feelings toward the music industry. Moreover, he has made some bizarre claims about various artists in the industry that have turned heads and caused controversy. Among the many who were scathed by Ye’s fiery words, were Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. 

Not long ago, a clip from Ye’s documentary surfaced online where the rapper took multiple shots at the WAP singer. As if, that was not enough, he also roped Nicki Minaj into the messy ordeal. Amidst the clip going viral again, radio host Charlamagne the God reacted to the rapper’s comments. 

Breakfast Club hosts give their take on Ye’s claims about Cardi B

It did not take long for the footage of Kanye West calling out Cardi B being an Illuminati plant tasked with replacing Nicki Minaj, to gain heat. The internet went into a frenzy as the clip became a point of contention among the masses. Owing to the buzz, popular radio talk show hosts of The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne the God and Jason Lee shared their views on the same. The Guy Code member was in no mood to agree with Ye as he stated that, “Nicki Minaj didn’t get replaced by Cardi.”

Lee gave his take on the same, revealing it was not Cardi who replaced Minaj. In fact, he beleives that “Nicki Minaj got replaced by Nicki Minaj.” The Breakfast Club hosts did not seem to be convinced by the rapper’s claims as they spoke of the ‘Anaconda’ rapper’s unbeatable legacy in the rapping realm. While Minaj found a voice of support, it seems that Cardi B does not need one against Kanye West.

Both Ye and Cardi B have clearly moved on from the controversy as evidenced by the hit song ‘Hot Shit’ in 2022. However, there is more than just a pop hit in the Kanye West and Cardi B reconcilation package.

Throwback to when Kanye West praised Cardi B 

Back when their controversy sparked heat on the internet, Cardi B chose to remain silent. However, the rapper could not help but react to Ye’s former comments of praising her. During an interview with Jason Lee, the ‘College Dropout’ star praised the ‘I Like It’ singer. Ye lauded Cardi B and her undeniable impact while stating that he had “always beleived in her.”

The clip of Ye praising Cardi B was as quick to go viral as the one where he called her an “illuminati plant” and soon enough the ‘WAP’ singer had seen it. While Cardi B did not make any comment or statement about it, she simply put a red heart emoji. The simple reply was enough for everyone to know that she had moved on and appreciated Ye for his comments.
