Being a fan of Ye, once known far and wide as Kanye West, in 2024, is nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster. On one hand, fans are left with a sinking feeling seeing the icon gradually leaning towards irrelevance. On the other hand, some are moving heaven and earth to defend the rapper, whether against his perceived musical vacuum or his outlandish takes. One such passionate defender recently went as far as seeking revenge on Big Sean on behalf of Ye, which has entirely shaken up the hip-hop world. 

Yesterday, Big Sean dropped a new freestyle on On the Radar Radio, with a line that said, "I got better things to do than find someone to beef with". This was initially seen as a lyrical assault on Kendrick Lamar. However, later on, DJ Hed revealed that Big Sean had, in fact, admitted the diss was directed at a "different Gemini". As speculation grew that the diss was aimed at Ye, also a Gemini, a fan of the ‘Donda’ rapper, Reddit user bigseandon811, leaked the upcoming album of the 'Mercy' rapper online as a payback.

The leaked album, reportedly titled either 'Feelings & Random Thots‘ or Better Me Than You’, has 14 tracks in total. The user also claimed that Ye himself gave the green light to leak the album. Even Big Sean reacted to the leak on X, saying, “Might as well start droppin, before they leak it all”. The 36-year-old also confirmed that he would release BIG SEAN x THE ALCHEMIST "soon".

This left the entire hip-hop community in disbelief, making everyone wonder how far Ye's fans can go to back him up.

Ye and Big Sean have had a complicated history. Their controversy, which often feels like it came out of nowhere, fractured the dynamic rap duo. Now, with this leak, there is a chance it might once again spark a new beef, following Kendrick Lamar and Drake's fiery diss war. Whatever the outcome of this leak turns out to be, Reddit is certainly taken aback by the "nasty work" done by Ye’s fan. They shared how "ye stans lowkey terrifying", and "if you mess with the goons, you’ll get the horns!".

Some were, however, against the move and stated, "YE AIN'T GONNA PRAISE OR REWARD YOU, BRO. THIS JUST KINDA CRINGE" and "No one deserves to get an album they worked years on leaked". Big Sean is about to release his first album in the last four years after ‘Detroit 2’. However, the recent leaks may have already dampened the anticipation the rapper was trying to build ahead of his big release. Nonetheless, whether this collaborative project will win fans over or not, despite the controversy, is yet to be seen.
