VMAs? More like TMAs! The unstoppable Taylor Swift is collecting the VMAs tonight like infinity stones. With stars throwing their phenomenal performances on stage, the cameras could not help but be obsessed with Tswizzle. And the 33-year-old has been giving them the rightful reason to. Having become the second to win nine in a single night, and the first-ever artist to win twice in a row for yet another top honor, Tay Tay has officially surpassed a couple of music Titans in the prestigious award show.
The ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ singer has broken back-to-back records in the 2023 Video Music Awards to become the first artist to win this honor four times in VMA history.

Climbing up to the pinnacle of her career, the Songstress bagged her fourth major win of the star-studded night. Adding to the list of her triumph fest, her song ‘Anti-hero’ won the Video of the Year. Other bids for the honor included Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Smith, and SZA, all of whom faded before Swift’s pop rock. ‘Anti-Hero’ with 6 wins is now Taylor Swift’s song with the most VMAs awards EVER, surpassing ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’ (3 wins). Taking to the stage, Swift gave an overwhelming speech to the audience, hoarding an unmistakable round of applause from her fans.
“The fact that this is a fan-voted award means so much to me,” cried the star as fans went bonkers on her fourth win. Addressing her Eras Tour, the star remarked that it has been one of the most “joyful and exhilarating experiences” for her. Nonetheless, having swept nine back-to-back wins, the star claimed she’s not “halfway” done yet.

Following her major victories, Taylor Swift still has 2 more nominations out of 11 left to be announced. The song, ‘Anti Hero’, which has proven to be a total banger tonight, has been nominated for a staggering total of eight nods including the Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, Best Visual Effects and Best Editing. It has already won Best Pop, Song of the Year, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects as well so far. The latest updates revealed Swift has also bagged the highest honor, that is the Artist of the Year.

Leading the show with the highest number of nominations, Taylor Swift won nine VMAs tonight, tying the record for most regular category wins in a single night in history. For the record, Taylor now boasts a humongous list of 23 Video Music Awards, with the website still left to announce the rest categories by midnight. She is now just 2 VMAs away from tying Beyoncé as the most-awarded act in the show’s history.
