As Kanye West tops the Billboard Charts, making the buzz for his comeback, his fellow rappers are joining hands to upscale the musical evolution. Hence, shortly after making his own name recur on every lip to every playlist, Ye is now making space for his longtime collaborator, Playboi Carti. For those acquainted with West’s collaborative principles, it leans on steadfast loyalty and his intermittent shout-outs for Carti underscore the strength of their partnership.

Similarly, as Carti was about to drop ‘Ketamine’, Ye took to his Instagram to hype the launch. And not only that, now that the song is out, Ye has also given his nod to it.

Carti’s ‘Ketamine’ drop just made its debut on Tuesday alongside a video drop by the artist on his Instagram. The release has come close on the heels of Carti grabbing his first No. 1 on the Hot 100, all thanks to his collaboration with Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Carnival’. As his longtime collaborator, Ye has been revving up the engines about the drop for quite some time on his Instagram stories. Now, an X (formerly Twitter) handle by the username ‘RH’ has shared Ye’s message to Carti following the launch which reads “Love this”

Previously, Ye also co-produced Carti’s comeback track ‘2024’ and his appearance in the video steered the wheels of anticipation. Since then, the pair have joined hands in climbing the ladder of success, and ‘Carnival’s’ success would attest to it. In a video celebrating the feat of having surpassed the milestone on the Billboard charts, Ye even thanked Carti “for coming through with one of the hardest verses ever”. And now that Ye has also given his nod for Carti’s drop, a similar fate for this track seems more than possible.

Fans hype up Playboi Carti’s Ketamine song

When the world was waiting with arrested gaze for the ‘Vultures’ album to drop, fans hardly knew that a full-fledged evolution of the hip-hop scene was underway. With West at the forefront, music reached the zenith by strutting the Billboard Charts. And now that Carti’s new song gets the nod from the showrunner, fans cannot help but swing with West on this one.

Most fans had the same reaction as Ye’s but some others could see the “new” Carti that came along with the drop.

As fans swarm across every deep corner with the urge to drop the album, they also took pointers on how eclipsing the recording scene is getting with “real music”. Somehow, the entire thread reiterated the same versions of conversations that soiled the updates of Ye before the ‘Vultures 1’ drop. And by all indications, it seems that not only Ye is recoiling in full-throttle for 2024 but for fans, even Playboi Carti is treading the same steps.
