A coin has two sides, and it is not better proven anywhere other than the displays that Lil Nas X and Taylor Swift put forth. Swift's pop-backed crooning and Nas X's genre-smoothie line of thought both stand proven as top-tier artistry through chart-ripping global appraisal. Lil Nas X recently disclosed that he and Taylor Swift were close to collaborating on a song, but the project ultimately fell through. During an interview at the 2025 GLAAD Media Awards, talking to E! "She's been doing her thing. She's at the very tippety top", the chart-topping singer thanked the 'Blank Space' singer for even considering him as a collaborator.

Having been an admirer for a long time, their collaboration visibly highlighted Ye's role as both a mentor and an inspiration for the rising star.
