“Let the man rest”- Fans in Shock as AI Elvis Presley Eyes a Debut Just Days After Taylor Swift Broke His Record
Taylor Swift is once again dominating the Billboard 200. She spent a total of 68 weeks at No. 1 throughout her career. Earlier Swift and Elvis Presley held the record for the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as solo artists. But with Swift’s ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’, she broke her tie with the King of Rock and Roll. Amid this musical clash, Elvis Presley has been reportedly gearing up for a comeback: as a hologram.
London will witness the premiere of Preseley’s concert, Elvis Evolution, in November, followed by additional shows in Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Berlin. This collaborative masterpiece will be a result of a unique partnership between Authentic Brands Group, guardians of the Elvis Presley estate, and Layered Reality. It will be a visual feast crafted from the musician’s personal photos and home video footage. On these shows, Layered Reality will bring a life-sized digital Presley to the stage.

The forthcoming Elvis Evolution will unfold at an undisclosed central London venue. Each performance will be topped off with an afterparty at its Elvis-themed restaurant and bar, with live music, DJs, and great performances. Despite Presley never spreading his musical wings beyond North America, his opening AI show will touch down with a ticket worth £60. Fans, however, are not singing praises for the upcoming show as they did with Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
Many felt that featuring a hologram for the iconic singer, who left the stage in 1977 at the age of 42, would be a step too far.
Fans’ disappointment with the experiment with the late Elvis Presley
Fans are about to get on a cross-country adventure, tracing Presley’s origins from Tupelo, Mississippi, where he was born in 1935, to Memphis, Tennessee, the iconic Graceland, and the bustling city of Las Vegas. However, the AI experiments on the late icon did not sit well with them. Many fans took to X, formerly Twitter, making it clear they have no intention of investing in or participating in the Elvis Evolution.
Many also felt this evolution was completely unnecessary and a sizable chunk commented that nobody asked for this AI recreation.

AI and hologram experiments are not new to the late icon. He collaborated with Celine Dion on American Pop Idol in 2007 and featured alongside Ryan Gosling in Blade Runner 2049. However, the verdict on this upcoming Elvis Evolution is something only time will tell.
