Legendary Beatles Singer and Kanye West Collaborator Paul McCartney Has Another ‘final record’ but With a Twist
Humanity has come a long way since one of its earliest inventions: the wheel. But no matter how many three hundred and sixty-fives keep getting added, the sentient being does not go too far from one of its earliest, so much that the entirety of its being often comes to be called the ‘wheel of life’. The beauty of its essence lies in its imitation. This to-and-fro of life and its penchant for the art of imitation is beautifully denoted by music records. The majority of these were sold by The Beatles, with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr at the helm of affairs.
While on the one hand, we wax poetic about how it has been impossible for humanity to let go of its nascent invention; we are dumbfounded by the enormous evolution. Especially that of technology. And while flying cars and robots on the subway are still an alternate reality restricted to fiction, we have added quite a lot of badges when it comes to AI. So much so that musical legend Paul McCartney is counting on it to deliver one final record of The Beatles.

The 80-year-old singer who is rich not only in age but also in achievement made an algorithm-breaking statement when on BBC Radio 4. McCartney spoke of releasing a “final Beatles record“. And this is quite a big horn to blow, even for someone as skilled with instruments as him, considering the tragic demise of John Lennon and George Harrison in 1980 and 2001, respectively. But thanks to the same advances that made way for a video of Will Smith eating spaghetti in the most incommodious manner, we will have one Beatles record as early as “this year,” according to McCartney.
The upcoming release was a part of the several cassettes that Lennon had labeled ‘For Paul’. These cassettes were bestowed upon McCartney by Yoko Ono in 1994. McCartney, who has collaborated with Kanye West, is no newcomer to modern music. However, he was not the one who came up with the idea of using AI.
Peter Jackson, who was the mastermind behind The Beatles: Get Back, suggested an AI-laden Lennon voice for the track. The upcoming record is said to be a demo that the deceased singer had been working on in 1978. While the release date of the upcoming track and how it came to be have been confirmed, many wonder how close to the real one can it get.
Will the track really feature John Lennon’s voice?

In what can only be termed a miraculous turn of events, we will get to witness another, likely wonderful, The Beatles track. The last song that boasted of all four Beatles was ‘The End’ in 1969. And now, more than five decades later, Sir Paul McCartney has announced another go at a final track, the title of which is still undecided. However, many are speculating that it will be named after Lennon’s 1978 compilation ‘Now and Then’.
While the news is one to make fans bounce off the walls, the raise of the eyebrow is owed to the addition of AI in the equation. But before anyone could raise doubts, the 81 times Grammy nominated singer revealed that while AI has helped, it is Lennon’s very own voice that will be used. The artificial intelligence was only required to separate the guitar from the voice in the cassette. And so the celebration continued.
